I was born and raised in the Chicago area, but I came to medicine after a career in the furniture industry. I lived in Colorado, Wyoming, Atlanta and Milwaukee before returning to Chicago. It is a privilege to now be realizing my dream of practicing medicine where I grew up.
My focus has always been to provide competent and compassionate care for all children. I make an effort to spend sufficient time with each family in order to discuss my assessment and any treatment plan. I am very interested in the emotional aspects of wellness and disease, and often focus on preventative care. I use interventions, diagnostics and medications judiciously.
I began my career at Southwest Pediatrics in 2005, and am pleased to continue as a partner today. The office staff and nurses are outstanding, and our physicians are highly respected in the pediatric community. We serve at all levels at our hospital affiliates, from committee members to department chairs.
I have four sons – including a set of twins – who teach me every day about the finer points of pediatrics. My wife, Rosi, is a native of Monterrey, Mexico, and through her I have made a special effort to learn about and contribute to the large Mexican-American community in the area. I also am able to speak Spanish with our patients for whom English is not their first language.
I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to care for your child, and I look forward to working with you to ensure their best health and development.
